ISF Chitin & Marine Products LLP was established in the year 1959 with the principal objective of promoting the processing and export of marine products available in plenty from the Indian Coastal belt. The Marine Products industry was an uncharted area in India in those times. lSF took the initiative to promote the processing of Marine Products from India and thus the pioneer of the Indian Sea Food industry. The products processed by lSF was branded and sold as "FEISTA". This brand is today well established in both International and Domestic markets.

In line with the company's vision to develop new products, lSF, later set out on an ambitious project to convert the waste generated at its procurement and processing centers into value-added products. ISF took the assistance of Central Institute of Fisheries Technology for this endeavor. The latter aligned with ISF and technically collaborated with lSF to develop value-added products as a by-product of the seafood processing industry.

After years of collaboration with CIFT in R&D, in the year 1988, 15F set up its first pilot plant at Kannamaly, Kochito conduct trial production of CHITIN. ln 1990 ISF started producing Chitin commercially. Bagging an order from ROTTA RESEARCH LABORATORIES, Italy who had the patent for manufacturing Glucosime HCl, ISF shipped the first ever consignment of Chitin from India. 

Now, India Sea Foods is one of the renowned company primarily engaged in manufacturing and exporting a wide range of antimicrobial agent and specialty chemicals obtained from chitin and chitosan. We are one of the leading manufacturers, suppliers and exporter of chitin, chitosan and water-soluble chitosan. As our commitment to nature, to reduce the waste to zero level our R&D team has further developed Protein concentrate from Crustaceans, which can be used for Animal, Poultry, Aquaculture Feeds and Agricultural applications.

In order to complete the entire post-production methodically, we have our well-managed packaging facilities. Our range of marine products is packed in laminated polythene bags with liners to prevent the material from possible contamination.
